The music, composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, is a standout feature. It perfectly captures the tone of the game’s tactical battles and emotional moments, making the gameplay experience even more immersive. Overall, Sword of Convallaria is a strong tactical RPG worth checking out.
However, the game isn’t without flaws. The pacing can feel sluggish at the start, and the gacha system, though not overly intrusive, might feel out of place for players more used to traditional RPGs. There are also several in-game currencies, which may be overwhelming.
The game is also very free-to-play friendly. You don’t need top-tier characters to clear content—rare and epic characters work just fine if you use good strategy. Although the early grind can be slow, it’s completely possible to progress without spending on gacha pulls.
#SwordofConvallaria has been out for a few months, and as a tactical RPG enthusiast, I've enjoyed it. The pixel art is beautiful, reminiscent of Final Fantasy Tactics, and the strategic grid-based combat is dynamic, with positioning and terrain playing crucial roles.
Can i have some milk? 😅🤣
