Sadly reading this morning about Cuba. Cuba is an independent country in the Carribean. Now their Hospitals are closed, people are starving and the President of the United States is happy about this? Board of Peace my ass!!!!

There is a problem with drugs crossing the Canada - USA border.
It is drugs coming from the USA.

Hindsight will provide 20-20 vision. Pardoning drug dealers and yet screaming drug dealers are killing Americans! That doesn't compute. Tariffs for national security (fentanyl from Canada), what a joke! I am a proud Canadian and look forward to the end of this nightmare we are all living in!
18.01.2026 22:47 — 👍 0 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0This summer travelling in Canada I met a number of U.S.A citizens, some even asked if Canada could incorporate their states into Canada. They were concerned with what they saw going on on their home turf. As I see now, rightfully so. History will not look back on this time fondly.
18.01.2026 22:47 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0They reflect a society that has matured. We learn from our past (blemishes and all), it can't be erased, but we can and should learn from it. I have visited all kinds of monuments in the U.S.A., there is a lot to learn from that! But, here we are. North American neighbours, friends, allies.

We don't live there anymore! Why would we want those laws today? As a society progresses, so do laws. They reflect a reality of today.
18.01.2026 22:47 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0And other reasons unknown, but Security reasons? I assure you, no one in Canada is going to attack the U.S.A., our friends and neighbours. What I see going on there now is quite simply frightening. Your President has made it OK to be prejudiced, he's awoken the minority of hate.
18.01.2026 22:47 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Different landscapes, historical sites and I miss it. I haven't been to the U.S.A. since Jan 2025. It is not the exchange rate that is stopping me. It is actually better now than Jan 2025. The President of the U.S.A. has and continues to disrespect my country, with tariffs for security reasons.
18.01.2026 22:47 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 09/11, a world changing day! After that, I needed a passport to visit. I got one, then I got a Nexus Card (trusted traveller). I continued my visits, including Vegas in Jan 2025. I have friends in the U.S.A. I have visited almost every state in the past 50 years. They all have interesting places
18.01.2026 22:47 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I have been thinking. I travelled to the U.S.A. with my parents in the 1960's. I travelled with friends as early as 1975. I have travelled there uncountable times over the years since. I have always loved the people and places I visited. I always used my drivers licence to cross the border, then

18.01.2026 21:50 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I wonder what would happen if all States had an independent review of districting maps, with regard to population area rather than political affiliation and those were enacted. I wonder who would win? The people and not the politicians. Gerrymandering doesn't do that! True rep by pop.
