Journalist based in the EU. UK reform needs PR, an elected second chamber representing the metros and regions, a written constitution and a return to the European Union #FBPE "Ensemble nous sommes plus forts" especially in the age of Trump 2.0 and Farage

Sadly it doesn‘t happen enough. The BBC is notably uncritical. I suspect that if he becomes PM we‘ll see critical media outlets being muzzled.

Labour tried to appease the Brexit voters and even adopted the same far right-wing anti-immigration rhetoric. I know this is difficult to swallow for Labour voters. Time to face the truth.

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.
It undermines police and the law.

Enough is Enough. To coin a phrase.
It's time to release the full text of the Russia Election Interference Inquiry with no redactions. And to widen it's scope to include the Brexit Referendum.
Two well-established facts:
1. Brexit was an unmitigated disaster for the UK.
2. X is an unacceptably toxic platform.
Why then is it that the UK prime minister can’t bring himself to admit the first, nor leave the second?
Is it any wonder so many people are disillusioned with politics?

⚡️Zelensky calls for closing Baltic Sea for Russia over drone incursions.
"There is growing evidence that Russia may have used tankers in the Baltic Sea to launch drones — the drones that caused major disruption in Northern Europe," President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
Europe is facing a concerted Russian hybrid attack. It has already been going on for some years but is now intensifying. Putin is looking for weaknesses in our defenses and for the chance to invade an EU member state. This is the greatest danger to peace in Europe since 1939.
