I had a wonderful day out in the riding with an amazing team of Hamilton Centre volunteers! It was inspiring to listen to your questions, thoughts, ideas, and hopes for the future. As your MP, I’ll take what I heard today with me to Ottawa to ensure your voices are heard.

As an MP, I spoke in the House about the critical issue of affordable housing affecting communities nationwide. I am committed to bringing more federal dollars & doing everything in my power to address this challenge in Hamilton Centre.

Delighted to be invited by Association of Consulting Engineering Companies-Canada (ACEC) to attend their 2025 National Awards Gala and celebrate the incredible work of member firms. It recognized the innovative infrastructure projects that strengthen the Canadian economy and connect our communities.

Honoured to meet with the President, CEO, and leadership team of the College of Family Physicians of Canada today on Parliament Hill. Their advocacy and dedication to strengthening family medicine across our country are truly inspiring. The health care of Canadians is a top priority for me.

After visiting St. Matt’s Cathedral Café earlier this week, I felt inspired to volunteer and lend a hand. The entire team, staff and volunteers alike, are truly amazing, and it was an honour to help serve the community in need. I highly recommend getting involved whenever possible.

Visited two successful business in the riding
- Queen York Medical Clinic & pharmacy are accepting new patients, great job Dr. Kash & Fady Kamel!
- Esther Ajooba’s Divine Kitchen, a new business in our downtown riding at 92 Jackson St. East.

From healthcare to great food!

I had a productive meeting with Ward 4 Councillor Tammy Hwang. Focused on shared goals and practical steps to move Hamilton forward! I also met with CCOHS President, Anne Tennier. The meeting emphasized the importance of the safety guidelines to maintain a secure and healthy work environment.

Listened to the safety and security concerns from Hamilton Centre residents by knocking on their doors along with Police Chief Frank Bergen.

Visited St. Matt’s House and discussed all the services that they provide to the community which include everything from food, to clothing, as well as eviction protection services. The volunteers are amazing!

Grateful to have the opportunity to hear from my constituents in the Rosedale area of Hamilton Centre! It’s always a pleasant day spent with the wonderful community.

A beautiful day to be out in the community of Hamilton Centre going door-to-door listening to your concerns and ideas. Always grateful for these conversations!

Today marks 22 years since I first arrived in Canada.

From those early days of building a life from scratch, to now serving as a Member of Parliament, I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this path.
