I am in awe of this man every time I see something he creates, and every time I hear him speak. He is so connected, so intelligent, and so creative. Highly grounded and still somebody who can harness imagination. Such respectable abilities and traits.

In all of the uncertainty and difficulty in this world right now, the thing I crave most for comfort and a sense of normalcy is meaningful human connection. Sadly, it seems most people are hunkering down and trying to survive this inside their shell. We have to come together in times like these.

This makes me want to learn more about the Catholic church's financial profile and holdings. That said, they are an enormous global organization and perhaps their wealth just looks big on paper but isn't actually as big as I think it is. Hopefully Leo will do some serious reform.

The only way we're ever going to come together in this country is if we focus on our shared experiences and learn to understand one another, not by blasting people with opposing opinions and facts and condescending. I'm glad to see the olive branch. Hopefully it means better behavior in the future.
