Google Pixel 9a in Peony!

Google Pixel 9a will be available for pre-order on March 19 and will start shipping on March 26, with a price starting at $499 for the 128GB model in the US. [Android Headlines]

Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 is receiving its first post-launch software update, version 3.144, which is rolling out to some users.

The Google Pixel 9a will be priced at $499 for the 128GB model and $599 for the 256GB model.

You can enable "Automatically call" by following these steps:
1. On your Pixel Watch, swipe down.
2. Tap Settings > Safety and emergency > Emergency SOS.
3. Select 'Ways to start SOS'.
4. Tap 'Automatically call'.

This update will become the default behavior for Emergency SOS on Pixel Watch over the next few weeks.

This change aims to reduce accidental emergency calls and provides a 20-second window to confirm the call. Users can still revert to the old auto-call functionality, but must manually change the settings in the Safety and emergency menu.

Google Updates Emergency SOS on Pixel Watch

Google is rolling out out a change to the Emergency SOS feature on the Pixel Watch, requiring users to press and hold the screen for three seconds after tapping the crown five times to initiate an emergency call.

Android 16 Beta 1 introduces support for the Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec, live updates, and camera and media updates, including night mode scene detection and vertical text rendering.

Circle to Search provides AI Overviews and one-tap actions for phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs. These features are rolling out starting today, with more capabilities, such as Project Astra's screen sharing, expected to arrive in the coming months.

Google has announced the rollout of new Gemini Live and Circle to Search features for Pixel 9 phones and other compatible devices. Gemini Live allows users to take a picture or add an existing one to their gallery and then interact with it using AI-powered features.

Google is offering free battery replacements for affected Pixel 4a owners, available at walk-in repair centers in select countries and by mail-in repair in the US.
