NWSL said it would fight for Trinity Rodman. It’s only fighting with itself One way or the other, the league will set a precedent with Rodman. The NWSL has the power to choose what that looks like.

As things stand now, the NWSL isn’t fighting for Trinity Rodman. It’s fighting against her, and shadowboxing with its own potential in the process.

All across the USA there are forgotten spaces of American soccer. At dawn, I’m standing at one in St. Louis.

Here, at the corner of N Market & N Spring St, the young women of the Craig League played what’s often cited as the first organized women’s league match in 🇺🇸 history.

My theory is that they actually bought tickets to something else??? At the very least, they didn’t have back row tickets they were sitting in (I looked at the amc app 🫠) so they were committed to getting down.

But yes, wild if they chose to pay $15 a piece for that!

Your local homelessness groups, immigrant protection organizations, civil rights defenders and mutual aid organizations are trying their best, but they are underfunded, being opposed by local leaders, ignored by the media and, in some cases, actively attacked. Please help them.

Please find out how to volunteer with local organizations trying to limit the considerable damage this World Cup will do. Work to help protect people. Donate to mutual aids that are doing what they can.
