That said, could Mowatt have played 60-70 mins given we now have a 2 week break? Unless there was a significant risk of injury, then surely he could. Simplistic, I know, but footballers want to play football.

3 games a week are going to expose #wba midfield issue. Mowatt clearly can't do all of the games, but without him we lack a player who can knit together the two ends of the pitch. Leaves us without an alternative when we need one - wasn't addressed with our summer recruitment
