Because the benefit is narrow and hypothetical, and the costs (via complexity, inconvenience, etc) very real and applicable to everyone, I’m not a fan. My last two greenfield projects did not use Golden Clients and were fine.

There is a narrow benefit for Finance consultants: changing some config can be quite difficult if transactions have been posted in accounts. A Golden Client separation fixes that, but only if the project is still in Dev only. If you’ve started moving to Test, then it’s no use anymore.

I also don’t see the point of this, RISE or no RISE…
