Yeah. I miss family. You know I'm the furthest Jossell west (extended family included)...and I have aging parents who I want easier access to. Plus, my sisters are both east coasters. aaaaaand, despite our blatant systemic ousting from corporate media, NYC has ALL of the jobs. LA is a lil dry.

It is a bittersweet realization to concede to. Leaving isn't completely off the table. If formidable opportunity opens up elsewhere, I'm gone! LOL
I've been plotting to leave CA for a little over 24 months now--because of personal dissatisfaction in a few key areas of my life.
I've recently changed my mind and weighed the options of my overall quality of life and well-being. This state is likely the best place for me to be for the time being.

i was once too broke to move from one apartment in a building down the hall to another post-breakup. moving isn’t cheap or particularly fun &, by and large, trans people aren’t doing great economically. 401,000 trans people fleeing their governments should be considered a fucking national emergency.
