You will have to use social media when you have to promote your book or build your fan base but while you are writing, put the phone away. Don’t look at it or pick it up for a set period of time while you concentrate on just writing.

Stretch your writing muscle. Start off writing just 15 minutes every day and increase it little by little. Before you know it, you’ll be writing half an hour then one hour, then two hours a day, then three, four…

Don’t worry about perfection. Just get the vomit draft out of you and on the page. That’s what editing is for.

This is almost 100% true - I do all of these on a daily basis - except jog.

I never EVER jog but you can switch it for swimming 🏃🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

Writer's block is not a real thing; it does not exist. Serious writers have trained themselves to sit down and write every day, they don’t suffer from writer’s block.

Read aloud what you’ve written. This will help you see if the writing is not flowing or if the dialogue is unrealistic.

Rejection can be a good thing! It builds character as it makes you learn how to deal with NO. It should also motivate you to persevere & rewrite your work, leading to a stronger and more compelling book or script.

Look at the list below and turn your rejection into a positive!
