I challenged a Sacramento dynasty when no one else would and fully support Mai Vang entering the race. She can beat Doris Matsui. But stay tuned. www.electericalee.com

He missed the point that progressive policy is popular policy if establishment Dems had the courage to run on it. He’s the one who invoked Spanberger who’s actually denigrated Mamdani, even just a day or so before the election by asking if he’s a Democrat. That’s not the type of attitude we need.

Hi! I never said he said one bad word about him. He definitely minimized Mamdani’s win.

Eric Swalwell signed onto a resolution as late as last summer to praise ICE.

Do not support him governor. Please.

I maintain you aren’t *feeling it enough* (the pain) if you continue to support establishment Dems, in general, and instead get mad at people like me who are very vocal about this at Dem club meetings.

The people in these club meetings tend to be retired and aren’t struggling.

Doris Matsui unblocked me from Facebook but she still has commenting turned off on her Instagram account. That is a violation of everyone’s First Amendment right as it is a public forum, per case law.

I don’t know how to make this more clear, but Eric Swalwell is one of the most bought, corrupted members of Congress. He was one of a few Dems to cosponsor a bill that conflates antizionism + antisemitism. He cannot say the word “genocide.” He’s more conservative than Newsom. Do not fall for his bid

My full statement:

Unblock me from your House Facebook account and reinstate all commenting on Instagram by December 12 as all are public forums and you are violating my First Amendment rights. You should receive a certified letter from me today. Thanks!

I’d like to be first in line to help replace Swalwell when Our Revolution is ready. He rarely if ever gets pushback + invited himself to our No Kings thing few weeks ago + made campaign reels basically the entire time. Has Israeli + Ukrainian flag on office door w/room for Palestinian flag but nope.

I really love @ivehaditpodcast.bsky.social + listen to all episodes as well as IHIP News.

They hosted Eric Swalwell a few months ago + had good chuckle w/him. This man is never held accountable by Dems for his pro-Israel takes. Also believes criticism of Israel = antisemitism. Have him back!

I forget to post on this app but I did start a podcast a few weeks ago to talk about money in politics (both dark money + grassroot candidate struggles). This recent episode is a recap of the last-minute, kinda top secret town hall Rep. Doris Matsui held last week. A major fail. See links below!

The only people telling him yes are probably people he’d pay very well. No one asked for this.

*I* said she has privilege + I said she used word salad in M4A answers. Also said a reason I ran for Congress against her was staff ignored requests for specific reasons as to why she doesn’t support M4A + said they were rude + *that* got her angriest response. Rudest staff held the mic for me. 💅🏻

ERICA LEE DEMOCRAT * CONGRESS ERICA LEE SUSPENDS BID FOR CA-07, ENDORSES PROGRESSIVE ALLY MAI VANG

SACRAMENTO, Sept. 16, 2025 - When I launched this campaign, I believed California's 7th Congressional District deserved so much more than what it's been given for decades.
I believed this community needed a representative who would fight unapologetically for working people, for climate action, for reproductive freedom, for stricter gun control, for a democracy that serves all of us, and not just the wealthy and well-connected.
And for an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
I stepped up to provide a bold, progressive voice in a race where no one else had. My path to this moment, shaped by lived experiences, injustice, and a deep sense of duty, left me no choice but to try.
I ran against an 80-year-old whose record reflects decades of alignment with corporate donors and special interests rather than the needs of the people she was elected to serve. I ran to be a representative who would meet with her constituents, listen to them, and fight alongside them, not hide from them.
I ran to tell the truth about the disconnected politics here and to call out the complicity that keeps them in place.
I still believe I'm a unicorn candidate. I am a fifth-generation Sacramentan and working-class renter shaped by this valley who left to move to Washington, D.C. and fight for a better healthcare system that fails so many while enriching others.
I've navigated through life experiences Congress lacks and too often ignores. Most people run for office because they can

The 7th Congressional District deserves more than inherited power and performative leadership. Politics should not be a career ladder or a family legacy. We need political courage.
Those on the bench who lack this courage to challenge an out-of-touch incumbent instead of putting your community first, you are choosing comfort over courage. I ran when it was hardest for me.
But-another brave and principled progressive entered this race, someone who shares my vision for a more just, more compassionate, more courageous future.
So I ask you to support Mai Vang.
She chose to run when it wasn't easy, and that alone sets her apart from most. That choice, rooted in courage and conviction, matters more than political connections ever will. It means she will be able to look her constituents in the eye.
I am suspending my campaign for California's 7th
Congressional District, but I remain deeply committed to the movement behind it, a movement for justice, for equity, and for a politics that puts people, not profits, at the center.
The people in power today are on the wrong side of history, in Sacramento and in DC. They are clinging to titles and seniority while the world burns and our communities suffer. They are beholden to donors and comfortable in systems that reward

I’m not sure who lives in her house if anyone does when she’s not there. I drove by the other day when I was in the area and there was what looked like construction being done on it.

holy shit dude using a fake deployment for wildland fire crews from a fire that’s only 13% contained during peak western US fire season to detain multiple firefighters and remove the crews from the fire is a scale of evil & dangerous I can’t fully communicate to people not from wildfire regions

From @sacbee.com: “Garcia encouraged Matsui to return with a more ‘forceful disposition’ and use the community to help pressure.”

This is going to turn into a Biden situation. She also has a 94yo husband. She wasn’t here for August recess as req’d until now; staff used old pics. Something’s wrong.

Hi, Eric. I’m one of your constituents. Volunteers on the ground said she showed up, was told no, and left.

Waiting on Sac legislators/leaders to get together + ask Matsui to step down. Not retire, resign. She’s almost 82 + is unable to articulate the righteous anger we need.

A tweet that reads finally, the democrats are running on money out of politics with another tweet that shows fundraising totals for the RNC at $84.3 million and the DNC at $13.9 million.

Maybe orgs who automatically endorse incumbents for who they are should ask what the Democrats’ strategy is to raise money now.
