Fresh pawprints on fresh snow. An ever-so-gentle rain and wind brush my face while the city lights illuminate low cloud cover like the firings of a slumbering mind.

The wind comes in waves like gentle exhales. The clouds a blanket, insulating the micromovements of tree and earth below. Occasional snowflakes drift down like soft workings of a sleeping mind.

Let's be restful together.

Crowds, cavorting snowdrifts giddy dance forward enchanted by such a performance oh singing wind.

Branches and hailstones.
Snowdrifts and melodies.
Hearts and heat.

Played in quiet concert for any who listen.

Tonight's weather is Singing.

I heard a singing wind humming gently on frozen earth and sky alike, thrumming and chiming like crystal flutist. Raucous applause in gentle click of leaf, tree limb, and delicate hailstone.

Thunderous support echoes from awestruck audience.

Today's weather is Hibernative

Hungry air bites hard for heat to prepare for the topor ahead. Thick clouds watch from horizon to horizon patiently waiting for an end to its sister's feast.

Soon comes the stillness, soon.

Today's weather is Floating

The wind starts in currents and eddies across us remind us of our connection. Criss-crossing sunbeams through changing clouds remind us of our suspension.

The greatest gift is a reminder. That we too live in fluid medium.

Today's weather is Light.

A flock of clouds collect and dust light snow, in light winds, with light chill. Letting light break through in sunbeams from behind.

Seeing the snow suspended inspires in me a light heart.

Tonight's weather is Ready.

Clouds watch rapt running with their sister wind an invigorating chill bite rushing by with anticipatory frolic.

I can't wait to see what we're preparing for.

The waters are frozen. The wind is asleep. The clouds are at home reading laying bare a clear sky with gentle stars and beloved moon listing with relaxed smile.

The sounds of truck and train reverberate lonely. Only we are awake.

The clouds feel heavy and fill the sky waiting. A tentative touch of sparse rain shrinks back into the stillness, the wind holds its breath. The birds are enjoying themselves.
