there's something brewing in my head and it's gonna take some honing of technical skill to make it happen

i totally understand that. i've been wrangling with my software and kicking around some ideas lately

i'm getting tired of the sound i've been working with for a while, and i'm not 100% sure what's next

and then at some point i started teaching myself a DAW and just started recycling media and called it good enough with this huge thing looming over my shoulder of "what the hell are you doing man, you know how to write music"

like i just remember standing at my piano for hours in middle school writing music and committing it to memory bc at that point i had forgotten how to read the notes from my lessons and just played by ear

you know, i'm wondering how many years are gonna go by before i finally start composing again instead of just recycling things into collages

i think one of the hardest things about going on the healing journey is processing emotions that come with realizing you didn't deserve something.

What HAVE you done for your country?
