The first time I played Hollow Knight it was HORRENDOUS, I went right, I was lost for 30min without finding anything early on.
Lost, Learning the game, I was missing all the visual clues.
My wife launched the game, fell, found the map directly and we played 30h+.

I know it's not for everyone and I don't care. There are people out there who LOVED my work, and that's why I'm making games.
I decided to do #my9games with games that have less than 1k reviews on Steam that I really liked for whatever reason.
No particular order outside of "oh yeah, this game" haha

One thing that surprised me when I went was how alone it felt
I didn't know anyone in the industry
I didn't have art that people liked
I didn't know what to do
I didn't know what advice to follow
Now it's better but those first years were years in the wilderness
