Wished that I had more time to make it more engaging, still have a long way to go in terms of #gamedev. But I am used to Clickteam Fusion #madewithfusion. Maybe some game design theory could help.

Prototype for my entry to Heritage Game Jam 2025, theme: Between The Lines. Used Clickteam Fusion, Kenney assets, OpenGameArt. Had I have more time, I could polish the mechanics better. Objective is to reach the Exit, player uses a cursor to launch their sphere from in-between the safe lines/tiles.

I sometimes question my capabilities. I arrived at work 9:15am, and worked solely on that one motion design video all the way til the next day 2am. And I know it's going to need even more revisions down the line, and work never stops. Fun.

My brother has been sharing his latest obsession with Umamusume for some time, so I've been giving him my listening ear. When a live-action tokusatsu spoof (栄養戦士キャロットマン) set in that universe was made recently, I checked it out; the theme song sung by toku legendary singer Hironobu Kageyama is peak.

Diwali is today. Spent almost a whole noon extracting from music CDs into my computer. I also realized that mini CDs can be extracted via Blu-ray drive. Here's a rare 1997 Keiko Terada singles, Dead or Love (she sang some j-pop anime and tokusatsu songs in the 90s/2000s).

Was attempting to open itch.io just now but kept receiving Error 1200: Website rate-limited. Not certain if it's due to some DDOS attack.

I always felt that something is off with that name, given his association (?) with some other Doom-related awards thing. But now he's dropped the mask, so I was right about being doubtful of said person.

When I get to office tomorrow, I'll need to go thru my Pinterest profile and see if these steps work.

To see that site devolve so badly makes me feel like reminiscing the time I used to visit it. Game Dogs (animated show with edgy humour that didn't age well), Daily Drop and Unskippable (with LRR), The Jimquisition, etc. were things I used to watch there. Some things are best left forgotten.

I was searching through Doomworld forums for "UZDoom" when I came across a thread by some chud who wrote like an "ideas guy" manifesto of the worst ideas wanting to claim his custom port of the same name.

Thankfully, there's a current proper Doom source port that's nothing to do with said thread.

Having the original developer for GZDoom push abominable intelligence code and had it untested was NOT in my bingo card. The team has enough of Zahl's attitude, so time to migrate to UZDoom as the go-to source port. Or maybe spend more time on DSDA-Doom.

This is the month of October, Halloween seems to be the theme this month. I got a forwarded video on the making of Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal. There are... some scenes that disturbed me til now. But the artistry in that film is still impeccable.

I read about what one of the voice actresses for that film advocated for, and that was enough for me to skip that film entirely even without factoring in the boycotting of the mouse-house.
