Students and faculty colleagues are being kidnapped from University campuses.
Undocumented and documented students are not safe. Trans students, queer students, students of color are not safe. Faculty and students who engage in legally protected speech against genocide are not safe. How will Georgetown protect our students and colleagues? Where does the University stand? What should a University be, in a time of crisis? I turn things over now to xxxxxxx in the School of Foreign Service. Here is xxxX.

Remarkable Guillaume Lethière show at the Louvre right now. Son of a white plantation owner and an enslaved woman of mixed race, Lethière was one of the most successful artists in early 19th-c France. Through the show a larger community of Caribbean artists in Paris comes into view as well.
