So I'll stick around and see what happens. It's a less than ideal start. Atm I just see patients and talk to them and give recommendations for neuropsych diagnostics and therapy at home because I can't do it there properly yet.

But!!!!

There are many upsides to this workplace as well. I feel confident and I like my coworkers. I have a beautiful big office with a view into the greenery. It is common to lock your office here and there is no handle on the outside so people have to knock to get in. What luxury!

Neuropsych is very specific, it's its own thing for good reasons. The other psychologists try their best to introduce me to the work anyways, but yeah. I want to get to know neurology, since it's my job (or supposed to be).

I have no idea when I won't be alone anymore. 🫠

Work is ... Oof. How do I begin. I'm by myself in the department of neuropsychology because all my neuropsych colleagues are on leave or ill long term. I haven't properly been trained because nobody who knows about neuropsych is there, frankly.

I never had a ceremony for my graduation or an official celebration of sorts. Neither for my Bachelor nor now.

Ah well. It's good it's finally all over.

I got my Master's diploma in the mail this week — it's surreal how such a long period of your life suddenly ends with an envelope sent per registered mail.

It feels a bit bizarre to announce this, but I got a job as a psychologist in neuropsychology and will start working there on July 1st. I haven't even got my final grade for my Master's degree in Psychology but they still hired me, so that's that. 😶‍🌫️💦 My first big job, as the Millenials say!

Yeah, that's the norm from what I gathered. Otherwise it doesn't have the intended effect. 😬💦

Potap has been ill the past few days ... Fever, pain, nausea. :( We brought him to the vet and apparently he has pancreatitis. He's getting medication and we hope he'll be better soon. At least he's eating again! 🤍🤍🤍
