I am absolutely delighted to announce that as of today, I am the @libdems.org.uk new Trade Spokesperson! I'm excited to continue my hard work standing up for British businesses and consumers alongside my Lib Dem colleagues.

🔶 Questioned Tesco & Sainsburys Representatives on Dynamic Pricing as part of the Business & Trade Committee. 🔶 Attended the raising of the Armed Forces flag at Maidenhead Town Hall. 🔶 Submitted an amendment to the Victims & Courts Bill. 🔶 Questioned the Government on Industrial Strategy. 🔶 Discussed the Heathrow third runway with Lib Dem colleagues. 🔶 Spoke with Local Councillors about grass cutting in Cookham. 🔶 Met with the CEO of ITV.

Statement on the Tragic Incident at Dunholme Road Yesterday.

For many North Ascot residents pavement parking is a barrier that stops them from accessing their community.

After years of Conservative cuts, our neighborhood police need proper support so they can tackle this issue, in North Ascot and beyond.

I can't comment on partly vs wholly as I didn't author the words myself, however I would like to note that this motion puts the onus on politicians and parties to do better and to show Pride organisers that they have a place at Pride.

Political parties at Pride EDM (Early Day Motion)1268: tabled on 14 May 2025 That this House regrets the decision taken by organisers of several Pride marches and parades across the UK to not allow political parties to march; further regrets that that decision partly stems from a lack of trust in politicians and Government amongst many in the LGBTQ+ community; notes that many trans people are concerned by the rise in hate-crime against transgender and non-binary people, and worried about the practical implications of the recent ruling in the Supreme Court case For Women Scotland vs The Scottish Minister on their lives; reaffirms its commitment to standing up for the rights and dignity of all in the LGBTQ+ community, including trans and non-binary people; calls on Rt hon. and hon. Members in the House, and their political parties, to reaffirm their commitment to protecting and advancing the rights of trans and non-binary people across the UK; and hopes political parties which support the rights of LGBTQ+ people and the aims of Pride will be able to re-join these parades officially in future. Before recess, I asked the Government why it was taking money out of the pockets of care providers such as Alexander Devine and Thames Hospices?

Predictably I didn't get a straight answer.

It has been heartbreaking hearing from Murdered Abroad about the challenges and injustices that so many families are facing.

Yesterday I joined my Lib Dem colleagues in writing to Wes Streeting urging him to listen to our community pharmacies and confirm that Pharmacy First will be renewed this April.

We can't afford to lose our community pharmacies.

Yesterday I went to Visit England's drop-in session to discuss the new Berkshire local visitor economy partnership.
When I was Vice-Chair of Visit Windsor I pushed for the creation of the LVEP and I'm incredibly excited to see how it can boost our areas' tourism.

Graffiti and grot Spots: It's crucial that Network Rail, the Council, and GWR work together to keep our stations + rail network clean, welcoming, and safe. We discussed the need to remove graffiti and the possibility of using CIL money to improve accessibility for commuters.

Improved dialogue: we need to improve the communication between GWR, Network Rail, the Council, and Residents. I want to establish regular dialogue between the Council + my office and Network Rail to voice resident's concerns.

Platform 2/3's lift: GWR agreed that fixing the lifts is a top priority. They are looking to fix the fault asap.
Station Forecourt: GWR also agreed that the station forecourt is not fit for purpose, with a redesign to improve accessibility and traffic flow necessary.

It was great to meet with GWR this afternoon, ensuring that Residents have access to the best rail facilities and service possible is one of my top priorities.
