Military Drops Recruiting Efforts at Prestigious Black Engineering Awards Event Until this week, Army Recruiting Command had a public partnership with the Black Engineer of the Year Awards, or BEYA, an annual conference that draws students, academics and professionals in science,...

"This is one of the most talent-dense events we do," one Army recruiter told Military.com. “Our footprint there has always been significant. We need the talent." 24 percent of Army enlistees are Black. To be clear: the DEI purge has nothing to do wjth meritocracy.

Just in case you thought that removing DEI criteria would mean that everyone is competing equally: NIH is removing grad students from underrepresented backgrounds from the applicant pool altogether. Their applications will not be considered. Other students, not from these backgrounds, will be.

Now is a good time to remember that #networking is the most honorable endeavor in which you can engage, bec networking is based on the spirit of generosity- it’s about how can I help you. In this spirit, plz reach out to your community. Offer to help or listen. I’m here too. #yourunicorncareer
