This is stunning work by Shaun, honoured to call him a friend. We were lucky enough to travel to Cardiff recently to see this exhibited. An insight filled with love and respect.

Here is the progress on my latest commission. This cross is for the church in Llantrisant in oak salvaged from the church's bell tower which is undergoing refurbishment.
The rays will be gilt with 24K gold and Oak will be fitted in between them.

You have to wonder just how many more people have to die before something is done. The answer would appear quite a few.

Aside from all the many many issues with mass gun ownership there’s the realisation that guns are products and that someone somewhere is profiting from all this death.

Sometimes the world can seem a difficult and confusing place and it seems easy to give up hope of things ever getting better. But then I'm reminded that Wotsits has an extensive and detailed entry on Wikipedia. For some reason this gives me hope.

The original batch of these sold out really quickly so I'm just seeing if there's an appetite for a second run somewhere around late October, so that you can buy them in time for Christmas gifts? Let me know and if there's enough interest then I'll work on getting some done by then :).

May have got that wrong but it sounds right.

If you can find on streaming, ‘Local Hero’ directed by Bill Forsyth - a beautiful comedic slice of calm whimsy in the maelstrom that is the current situation.

Sadly, I cannot. I'd been photographing the interiors of vacant shops and these chairs happened to be there. Other people have asked about them and the consensus seems to be that they're 60/70s design. I'll have to try and find out more.

Got a little thing going on with 6 other photographers and it's getting a launch at Turner House in Penarth on 20th September 2025. There's going to zines, prints and a great opportunity to meet lots of people. Be lovely to see you there! Entry is free.

A view looking upwards - a fairly vacant looking building with an old British Rail sign at the top. Felt more like the 1970s and less like the 2020s. Vague smell of coffee - Costas nearby.

A word looking clock outside the train station - like a ball stuck in a tree. I’ve already mentioned the coffee smell.

A view towards the bus station - now deserted. People can seen walk through an alleyway between the bus station and an office block. No doubt going to wait for buses that will never arrive. Very strong smell of wee and weed.

A pair of razor shells on the sand. Sometimes referred to as razor clams (I did not know this). The posh name for them is Ensis magnus.

Some photographs from my on going occasional sometimes project about wandering around beaches every now and then. I might call the project ‘Shoreline’ but maybe not…..

On my work travels I occasionally encounter hotels used for housing asylum seekers and I can confirm they are pretty grim. Then there’s the people outside abusing them…..
