I’m confused. Isn’t this the old model where generations worked in factories and coal mines until a child was able to get an education, get a good paying white collar job, and break the cycle? When a child had higher aspirations than having a hard, low paying job?

Based on his promises, the WH should be happy if every company identified the cost of tariffs on their products. Under POtuS’s theory, the cost of goods will not increase to the consumer but rather be borne by foreign companies. Therefore, the tariff portion of the cost will be small or nonexistent.
