Flight path shake-up promises quicker flights and fewer delays Ministers say the plans could allow planes to climb more quickly during take off and descend more smoothly.

This week I announced the biggest changes to UK flight paths since the 1950s.

As Aviation Minister, I've made it my mission to lead the most ambitious redesign of our airspace in decades. This means:

🚨BIG NEWS: this afternoon I introduced groundbreaking legislation to put a rocket booster under Sustainable Aviation Fuel production in the UK.

Our nation is now a world leader in pioneering green flights, and creating high skilled and cutting edge jobs in the process 💪

An honour to join and speak at the @wistainternational.bsky.social gala dinner last night, aimed at raising funding to support a female cadet into the sector.

We are committed to breaking down barriers to opportunity, including supporting more women to pursue a career in maritime.

Getting out & about, chatting with residents and seeing how I can support them is always the highlight of my week & today we even had some sunshine ☀️
