it's just as horny, stupid, absurd, irreverent as ever but Better. if you liked the og, or vibed with it but found it too offensive to get through, WATCH THE NEW SEASON. SERIOUSLY

the only real bummer is the all new dub cast. they're all doing a good job imo, it's not their fault the og is iconic

there's no fat jokes, they're way more normal about garterbelt, much less unsanitary stuff? etc

-original while letting the characters expand beyond them, because the tone is a little more domestic. the demon sisters just kinda hang out, and their presence is super refreshing?? and ofc there's the occasional genuine emotional moment

it hits the ground right where it left off and keeps going at a breakneck speed. a lot of the episodes so far are divided into 3 parts so no dumb idea outstays its welcome. the jokes and setpieces are modernized in thoughtful ways. the direction they're going in manages to keep the tropes of the-

i kept wondering what the new season could possibly be like because SO much stuff from the original would not fly today, and the answer is its literally exactly the same but better. it's more of the good stupid fun parts with basically none of the outdated unsavory parts
