The beggar king is such an apt name for him. It's interesting that at this point in the story Dany says they have almost no money to their name...yet she remains a virgin for her wedding night.

Viscerys is one of my favorite characters in A Game of Thrones.
The description of the helpless pups is a good allegory for how innocent and defenseless the Stark children start out themselves. All of them except Jon who as a bastard was born with his eyes open, like his albino wolf pup.
I love the scene with the pups tho. The antler in the wolf's throat. The albino wolf for Jon. Theon being such an ASS. Iconic stuff.
Ugh and then we're with Bran. Bran is the worst. This chapter will make you think he's okay. He's not...don't be fooled.
