Pouya Air Il-76TD CANDID EP-PUS looks like it may have landed at Kampala UGA.

Here is something I have not seen: Sanctioned Iranian airline Pouya Air Il-76TD CANDID EP-PUS last tracked on 25 Jan near Nashik IND is westbound over KEN near Nairobi. Flights to Nashik are routine and likely related to drones/drone components, but this flight is something very new and different.

This aircraft does not fly often, but when it does, it (in my opinion) is never up to anything good.

On 27 Jan sanctioned airline Fars Air Qeshm B747 EP-FAB flew from Tehran (THR) IRN to Moscow (SVO). It departed after four hours and is en route back to Tehran. This aircraft made trips to Moscow in Sep, Oct and Nov 2025.

It may not be carrying the uranium but I am going to watch it nonetheless.

The Russian-flagged ship MATROS SHEVCHENKO once believed to be carrying yellowcake from Lomé TGO to the Port of Kavkaz located on the Chushka Kosa in Krasnodar Kraj was at anchor for several days off of Sinop TUR after entering the Black Sea. It is now underway and should be in port soon (red dot).

On 27 Jan Cubana Airlines Il-96-300 CAMBER CU-T1250 is once again en route to Caracas VEN. This appears now to be a daily trip.

On 26 Jan RSJ9617 took off from Moscow (VKO) and flew south. It was tracked over the Caspian Sea and RUS but tracking ceased from 0547Z-0711Z. The aircraft type was not listed; however, I believe it was Rusjet A319 RA-73417 (linked to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov) as RSJ9617 is its semi-fixed CS.

My family and I went on a holiday to Cyprus in 2005 and as we were driving to our hotel I saw a sign that said 'свежая рыба' (fresh fish). After that there was more Russian than any other language. After a couple of days we realized there were more Russians there than Greeks!

Aeroflot B777 RA-73276 also flew from Moscow to Varadero CUB on 22 Jan returning to Moscow on 23 Jan. These flights could be Russians going on holiday, but then again…..

Another day, another flight to VEN. On 26 Jan Cubana Airlines Il-96-300 CAMBER CU-T1250 is once again en route to Caracas. This is the tenth flight this month (9, 13, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 25 & 26 Jan). The CAMBER can carry 235-300 passengers depending on seating configuration.

Air-to-air refueling done Il-76MD-90A(E) CANDID RA-78650 XAV9072 is returning to base. This may have been a demonstration for a potential customer.

On 26 Jan Il-96PU CAMBER Airborne Command Posts RA-96024 RSD121 and RA-96025 RSD203 flew from Moscow (VKO) to St P-Burg (LED). Both aircraft as associated with Putin. They were followed by SFS SS100 RA-89039 RSD959 and Tu-214PU Airborne Command Post RA-64533 RSD721.

Mine does as well. I do not know why this is happening other than it is a constant test as to whether they can get away with one aircraft spoofing to be another.

Yes! This aircraft is almost assuredly RA-64518 and not RA-64516 and they flip back and forth on an almost daily basis.

On 23 Jan it flew to Leipzig/Halle Airport, Leipzig DEU where Antonov’s CONDOR fleet is based. The aircraft was previously at Leipzig from 19 Nov – 17 Dec likely for maintenance.
