ok so a couple days ago my phone's battery tried to explode itself so i am without a phone for a bit, wanted to read AO3, naturally pulled it up on the 3DS

anyway i did not consider that i can post a chapter from my 3DS till now (the pic is on my laptop webcam bc i can't take one any other way)

cause wukong doing that obviouslt embarassed him since the brotherhood (esp peng) didn't really see him as his own person or very strong and more of an extension of wukong IF THAT MAKES SENSE

like, macaque can do it himself. he doesn't Need wukong to do everything for him or be protected, etc. but before their falling out we kinda see hints of that codependent dynamic

i also think, and my wording is gonna be so bad because i'm on my break at work rn, that it's showing how (without meaning to) wukong kinda imposed himself over macaque a lot without really considering his feelings which is kinda what caused macaque to resent him a lot
