I retired from NASA 1/9/26 but continue to do my research as a “gentleman scientist”. That is a thing with a long and honorable tradition including people like Newton and Darwin.

There are some actual Dana imposters out there. I reached one through Facebook and then was moved to telegram. “She” tried to hit me up for money to upgrade a video production system. She sent quite real selfies probably AI generated including a “verification” selfie giving my name and the date.
I fully agree with your last statement. Online is a weak connection at best but sometimes it is all one has for particular people.
I want to be clear that I am not seeking anything from you. I would be very pleased for us to become friends if that works out but not expecting anything.
Dana, I found that the second person claiming to be you sent a voice message on telegram. I tried to copy and paste here but did not succeed. I was not convinced.

When I began using social media, I was, and am, most interested in real friendships. I initially thought I would find people by accident and then decided to try to contact public figures if my generation. I seemed to succeed with musicians and then thought to try you. I still have hope!
