Absolutely awful result in the "antifa terrorism" trial against the Prairieland noise demonstrators. Innocent people convicted under conspiracy statutes because they had zines at home, or wore black, or were in a Signal chat — even those who did not actually participate in the demonstration.
today all 9 people federally charged with "materially supporting terrorism", rioting, carrying an explosive, as part of an "ANTIFA cell" were found guilty on some or all charges. the case was based in part on being in Signal organizing group chats and possessing political leftist zines.

This case essentially criminalized protests in the US.
Now they've been convicted, en masse, of being a terrorist cell, again despite being a bunch of trans polycules and zinesters who turned out to their local protest. Their most radical zine was a film criticism.
The Prairieland case has not gotten enough attention, and it's terrifying. These were a bunch of trans and queer lefties, many of whom didn't know each other before the protest, who went down to a protest and were deemed terrorists and put in jail and denied hrt and medications.

The REAL cultural story IMHO is how many people are willing to burn down their own lives and this country so they can be bigots.
You are not going to get me to empathize with these grown men - Cavanaugh was 28, and Fox was 27 (they are 29, and 28 now IIRC)
You can argue they didn't know it was potentially criminal but even if what they were doing was legal it was steeped in bigotry. They don't get a pass on that.
You don't get to paper over the fact that they are bigots. They knowingly wanted to strip minorities and women of any historical representation. They killed projects simply because they had ethnic identities and genders attached.
