Also, yeah. The tiniers and the cats help me stay sane.

It's old trauma. And who among us doesn't have that? For the record, I was adopted at 3, and then unadopted at 10, and spent the rest of my formative years in foster care and group homes.

I mean, I wouldn't recommend it for most people, but it definitely gives you a different outlook on life?

Chessie mews at me
Her paws lightly pat my side
Asking for my time.

And I am ten again.
Watching my parents drive off,
Feeling unworthy.

So I'm glad for that
A lesson burned in my soul
That time is love's coin.
