My area is higher ed. What has been done to the Department of Education is a tragedy. Obviously for the direct services they provided to the public, but also for the data collection that drove research and policy. Even if some of this is restored, we’ve lost so much institutional knowledge.

Trans rights are human rights and if one of is ain’t free then none of us are.
I worked at a Subway that was also a drive thru for some reason, which was hellish enough. We also were robbed at gunpoint several times, and there was a man who was stalking our female workers. I can’t even imagine also having a machine monitoring me to make sure I smile and say thank you.
