Guardedly optimistic as I've been hired on contract by the City of Pittsburgh for 3 months to be a network engineer. The goal: configure, rip and replace network equipment in many municipal buildings.

I also decided to delay my Red Hat Certified SysAdmin exam by two months. Better that I delay it rather than get humiliated by the actual exam.

I hope you like this painting; it started as an experiment. I don't usually do shiny skin because I feel it doesn't match the fur, but I love it for reptilian characters.

Fresh out of the breadmaker, and I brushed some butter over it while it was still hot.

Once it cooled enough I popped it out of the pan. It looks just about perfect! Of course I had to slice off one end to taste it, and it was delicious! 😋

The recipe, from the breadmaker’s manual (I don’t add the dry milk.) I actually use a digital kitchen scale to measure everything - the results speak for themselves! 😋

I’m headed to Calgary (Red Deer actually) to pick up some used farm equipment, so I made a fresh loaf of bread for my wife and the girls. It came out beautifully from our new breadmaker, and this time I tried brushing some butter on it while it was still hot to give it a tender top crust.
