Hal-Con 2025 was leagues better than last year in many ways, but meeting @protonjon.bsky.social and having a relatively normal chit-chat was easily the highlight of the weekend!

the post office is a public service. it doesn’t need to make money. public transit doesn’t need to make money. the library doesn’t need to make money. some things exist for the public good and we desperately need lawmakers to stop thinking about them in terms of capitalism. these are not businesses.

The way I always describe it is that it's just another mannerism. Lump it in alongside "please" "thank you" "you're welcome" etc. and it makes it easier for people to understand the general usage of it.

When nobody else got me, I know Non-Public Washroom™ always has my back.

i'm not queer myself, but i purchase and read queer media because i know it's fucking important to have different perspectives in storytelling. it breaks my fucking heart to have these books banned, after it was warmed so much to see them on the shelves. heartstopper is such a beautiful book.
