That, for me, takes a lot of time and space. I can work on my art and also consult and write/speak as an astrologer just fine if I'm not taking in tons of short form content from the internet. But if I'm using the overstimulation-rage-machine to get my news and connection, it's impossible to balance

And even though it is a system that can be followed in a system/math-ish kind of way to do a forecast with your pre-existing vocabulary, i think a good astrologer spends time thinking deeply about how to evolve and add to the language of the tradition, let it grow with our times.

I took two months off from doing my astrology forecasts even and I closed my client practice for two months (except to my 3 patrons lol). It was because to be a good astrologer requires a lot of introspection and deep thought about symbols. You're dealing with history and cycles, it is delicate.

but it isn't impossible. it's just hard. even solid information can be overwhelming. there are so many opinions that get into my head before i feel like i have time to form my own. that takes time and space that is hard to find. i am trying.

I've run into a wall where I feel like the onslaught of short form information (and longform honestly)---just the onslaught itself---has left me with little time for introspection and i realized that is causing suffering. carving out introspection room is made so so difficult.

i often wake up to helicopters and type "why helicopters flying past hollywood/west hollywood?" in google with no success. but last night it seemed like 400 helicopters. more than usual.

i also get to keep the amelia earhart cap/hat thing so i'll be wearing that around town. i would opt to get paid in clothing if i didn't need money for other things.

i miss playing this guy i wanna play versions of this guy every day

but i'm working on another role which is amelia earhardt. i get to keep the jacket so, you know, small victories.

and we're going to be doing john newspaper and friends in a new iteration soon too so that role isn't dead

and the other play i was in might also come back so that's cool
