Long time no see! Last check before they get pulled out of the fridge went well, they're all so cozy in there I'll feel kinda bad lol. Not bad enough though I miss them all so much πŸ˜”

next check; everyone but Sazabi is doing well, she has some swelling I've been watching for a while that hasn't changed, but I noticed it's spread in small pockets up her lower body so it's clearly getting worse. pulling her from brumation today to slowly warm her back up and get her to a vet

knowing that it's actually much easier to acquire amphibian feeders than I've been led to believe for years is dangerous for anyone that knows me

A mostly brown lizard is sitting upside down on an almost vertical wooden branch. The throat and belly are lighter coloured than the sides and back. The head is lifted from the surface of the branch. The lizard is looking down in the picture.

third check went even better, other than some complaining. minimal weight loss and no changes. my nerves are starting to die down a bit. it's only been 30 days but it feels like an eternity 😭

A light brown snake is looking slightly to the left of the camera. The snake has its mouth slightly open. It has both medium and dark brown markings along its body. The head and the front part of the body is held in an S-shape showing it is in a defensive position. The neck is somewhat laterally compressed which it does for the same reason that a cobra shows its hood - to appear larger when faced with a potential threat.

Part of a curled up mostly red snake with black and white bands. The white bands are narrow and has wider black bands on either side. The red bands are again several times wider than the black bands. The snake is resting its jaw on part of its body. It is looking to the left in the picture.

I can't verify it, but I'm pretty certain Haro is blind, or at least HEAVILY visually impared. not the biggest deal for a ball python, thankfully, but I need to think about how to move forward with her enclosure if I decide to change it around πŸ€”πŸ€”

second check went well, no one has lost weight except Cas, who's lost about 5%...not enough to pull him out, but more than I was expecting. if he loses another 8-10% I'll pull him out early. gotta get his enclosure nice and cleaned in the meantime -_-

I found my new poeci passed away yesterday, sad but as always, these things happen :/ I'm thinking I accidentally got her too dry? or too cool? mix of both?

regardless, gonna take this as a sign to stay out of poecis for now. the OW itch is satisfied with my OBT

there's a lot of people in the US working with Zamenis. I know someone with normal and melanistic persicus and they're tempting πŸ‘€

sauromates are on my short list for species I want to keep next, they seem every bit as gorgeous and fun to keep! were they fairly easy for you to find in the EU? they're basically unheard of here.
