In ICS/OT there is colorful language.

I think my next learning project needs to be to take what I have learned via the ICS410 and 62443 and summarize into my own documentation (book of why) so I can internalize all the information better.

The weirdest thing I have been doing is applying for jobs and doing interviews for jobs that would be ok, but I know I don't necessarily want.

But I feel like I need to practice doing the job application process so I'm prepared for when the correct position opens up.

We need to make sure we are using appropriate language when talking to ICS/OT. Using the wrong language will get incorrect responses.

Bluesky has better spelling and grammar checking.

ICS/OT Thoughts:
I feel like the term "patching" is an IT term.

None of my vendors release "patches" they release firmware updates or software releases.

I don't normally "patch" devices or software. We are either doing updating or upgrading.

I learned something today.

Apparently the choice to use deny-reset vs the default deny was the incorrect choice. It lead to a persistent host just tapping away at the firewall instead of taking the fucking hint to go away.

Sometimes you just need a weekend to think about a problem before you can solve it.
