Again. The post is not calling the EO a law. It is making a comparative reference to a well-known historical bundle of LAWS collectively referred to as the Ugly Laws, hence the capitalization of the proper name. You could try reading the thread if you... want to know about them. 🤷🏻

The last ugly law wasn't repealed until the 70s. The SCOTUS decision to allow the forcible sterilization of disabled folks was never overturned. It's still legal to forcibly sterilize disabled people in at least 31 states and DC.

The Ugly Laws, a series of state laws at the turn of the 20th century, banned disabled, mentally ill and unhoused people from public places. This + other eugenic law like forced sterilization and interracial marriage bans were such comprehensive body of legislation the Nazis studied and cited them.
