24.11.2024 20:39 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Oooh I did work for a visual / hearing impairment charity for several years, so I’ve done some research there as well. I have a few cool links of things that I can share when I’m at my computer Monday if that’s cool. Are you focusing on a particular area? (And I love soldering haha)
24.11.2024 20:38 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Hey 👋 This age group - and maybe all of us - really loves hands on, seeing something happen, a reaction to an input for example. Then also something “surprising”, so we also had leaves there to show them they were also conductive! Do you have any tips?

That’s fantastic. I find it difficult to keep focused - I find fun components and then start putting things aside for a “next project”. Easy to get side tracked!

Friday fun - my colleagues and I did some demos / activities with grade 9 students. I showed some of my projects and had them use circuit playground boards with touch input. #education #fun #electronics #computerScience #programming #adafruit

23.11.2024 19:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0People should be able to get up and running even if they are new to making these systems. A couple later in the book would be useful to solder etc but you can do them without. I hope that helps!
23.11.2024 19:14 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Hey! Yes, it works through things chronologically though people can easily dip into the activities that they want. I had started putting together kits on tinkertailor.tech that go with the book but when we moved I haven’t yet updated the site to reflect that etc. But ya activities have a supply list

I’m a maker who loves physical computing. I teach in beautiful Nova Scotia after teaching in the UK and Scotland for many years.
I enjoy making instructables when I have time.
Hehe thanks so much. I was listening to HardFork on the way to work today and they were discussing the ‘socials’, and I’m going to give this one a try and see what’s here! I hope things are good with you! 🥰
