I worked at a company where the VP of Sales visited 4-5 times a year. He was a serious athlete and suggested people could join his workout session. The sales team was scared not to join. Many were left injured, passing out, and vomiting from the intensity. I believe they would wear the shoes!

When my mother had dementia she would often refer to this mysterious “they” who were always telling her some crazy fact like Obama committed suicide along with Jennifer Hudson. I’m always reminded of this when Trump makes ridiculous statements and says that “they” or “people” are saying

"I couldn't get into the girdle in two and a half hours." One of my favorite line of so many great lines in All About Eve

One of the most frustrating aspects of living in Buffalo for a NYC girl is the fact that sidewalks, bus stops and crosswalks are seldom plowed or shoveled. Walking in the street isn't the safest as Buffalo drivers are incredibly hostile to pedestrians.

When the Bond movies with Sean Connery came on network tv when I was a kid, my mother would talk about Sean's legs and physique in a way that I never heard her talk about my father.

This is what happens when you value money over ethics. The moment we stopped being citizens and became consumers, we became a resource just to be exploited.

A letter written by John Adams to Abigail after his first night spent in the unfinished President's House: "I pray heaven to bestow the best of blessings on this house and all that shall hereafter inhabit. May none but honest and wise men ever rule under this roof." #WhiteHouse

I read Atlas Shrugged a couple of years ago since I was in the tech startup space and so many people named-dropped Ayn Rand. I will NEVER get that time reading that book back. It felt like reading the ramblings of someone having a mental breakdown.

I find it curious that non of these guys like Thiel, Yarvin, Musk and Andreessen move to authoritarian countries like Russia to live out their political and societal theories. Instead they come here and exploit the opportunities they could only find here then burn it all down

I saw this as a kid. My mother took me to see the movie “Thank God It’s Friday” but the film broke and we could either get a refund or see another movie and “Murder By Death” was just about to start. Such a funny movie!

It seems like it’s time to start boycotting the companies that advertise on CBS. Nothing matters to these people but money

Forecast said little to no accumulation of snow here in Buffalo so it seemed like a good idea to head to the library and the snow until that lake effect snow hit with white out conditions and sideways snow. Happy to be home with books, movies, food and wine. Happy New Year’s Eve!
