The UK Government’s decision to include Berwick Bank in the Contracts for Difference scheme is a disaster for Scotland’s seabirds.
Killing tens of thousands of these incredible birds isn’t just reckless, it could push many species towards extinction.
The @scottishgreens.org hit a high record party membership this week 💚
We are bringing hope back by convincing people that a fairer, greener and kinder Scotland is possible.

🌱 Scotland has set the course for regenerative farming - but how can we expect farmers to make the shift without the right training and support?
This week I pressed the Minister: will the Government commit more funding to education and skills so our workforce is ready for the urgent transition?
🚆 Our railways should work for everyone – not leave people standing while empty First Class carriages roll past.

Scotland is one of just a handful of countries where greyhound racing continues.
Last year alone in the UK it led to the deaths of 346 dogs and the injury of a further 3,809.
Our bill will end greyhound racing in Scotland for good.
Renters can't wait for the government to get their act together on the housing crisis.
We need urgent rent control measures to protect renters from unfair hikes by landlords.
🚆✨ From today, peak rail fares are gone for good!
It means more people can choose the train to get to work, school, or see family, without being priced out. It means fewer cars on the road, less pollution, and a big step towards the fairer, greener Scotland we all want to see. 🌍💚
Commercial forestry, sheep and other human pressures have pushed these forests to the brink.
Let’s use the spaces cleared by these beetles to restore some of what we’ve lost
#SaveOurRainforests
As with any large-scale monoculture, it’s only a matter of time before disease strikes and spreads through a population. Just look at chicken farms - or even us humans.
In the case of trees, we should be worried about our amazing native woodlands, e.g. temperate rainforests, above spruce…
I have to take issue with this headline: ‘Drones join battle against eight-toothed beetle threatening forests’
The only UK ‘forests’ under threat are near-lifeless, commercial monocultures, many of which are owned by super-wealthy interests…

Some devastating news today.
Earlier this year the First Minister @johnswinney.bsky.social said "nature should be at the heart of climate action". This decision flies in the face of that.
"John Swinney has to think this weekend. What are the history books going to write about this chapter for Scotland?"
The First Minister is meeting Donald Trump for dinner this evening.
Such as Elliot Carver’s chair from Tomorrow Never Dies
It was also a flashy hearse - a Japanese Buddhist one to be precise.
It can be found in the mad but brilliant Bo’ness Motor Museum, which is stacked with James Bond memorabilia.
How was your weekend? I came across Gollum in a flashing hearse #LoTR
🏞️ Is the West Highland Way your favourite path? 🥾
It's Scotland’s sole finalist in the running to be Britain’s Favourite Path 2025 — and you can help it win! 💚

Whisper always knows where the camera is, despite pretending not to #whippet
As David Attenborough shines a light on the damaging effects of bottom-trawling in his new film Ocean, trawl industry lobbyists have dismissed it claiming the film is "propoganda", "one-sided" and full of "Hollywood tearjerker techniques".
Whippets are the best 😍
First post on Bluesky and what better way to start than by highlighting the threat to our #Right2Roam in Scotland.
If we don’t stand up for #access, we face a rollback of our unique rights
