Trump’s decision to withhold SNAP is unconscionable and immoral. The GOP needs to come back to DC and reopen the government. And the Admin needs to release the funds so families can put food on the table on Saturday.

Amid Trump’s Assault on Free Speech, Advocates Stay Busy Three nonprofit legal organizations say their caseload has ramped up significantly since Trump took office. But so has public support for their work. Jameel Jaffer, a civil rights litigator for more than 25 years, said there is no question that President Donald Trump’s assault on free speech is unprecedented in his lifetime. And while he noted there may be some rough comparisons to be made with the McCarthy era, it almost certainly has no parallel in the last 100 years.

No place is President Trump's crusade against free speech more evident than in public schools and universities.

This new McCarthyism endangers our right to learn and speak free from government censorship, but President Trump can't rewrite the First Amendment no matter how hard he tries.

The Trump Administration is choosing to let families go hungry even as grocery prices rise and millions struggle to afford food. The emergency funds exist to keep SNAP benefits going, but they’re refusing to act. It’s shameful and completely unacceptable.

A tweet from Marc Lobliner reads: “Why the hell are we giving food stamps to 40 million people? Does anyone work anymore?” It quotes a post from Leading Report that says: “BREAKING: USDA will not tap emergency funds for food stamps, 40 million set to lose aid next week, per Axios.”

I know you’re a bodybuilder, but use your noggin this time. Nearly half of those who receive food stamps work. Of the rest, most are over 65 or disabled. Wages are too low for tens of millions, and Social Security isn’t enough for many elderly.
