El cuadro representa a unas quince aves sentadas en las ramas de un tronco seco. En el centro hay un mochuelo con un libro de partituras abiertas, mirando al espectador con cada de circunstancias. No sé el nombre de todas las aves del cuadro pero hay golondrinas, abubillas y, en general, no son pájaros que se distingan por cantar bien.
