86 Windcharger looks much better than I originally thought. But I still hate the hollow legs. It's nice that he has wrist swivels though. The weird blast effect is cool though and I hope they make a blast effect showing Trailbreaker's force field power too.

I'm a big fan of the jet mode too. FINALLY the cockpit is the full chest and isn't just segmented like on the Siege and MP versions! I'm super exited to get this guy, though it sucks that he's gonna be more expensive due to Hasbro's bad decisions, they need new management so badly btw.

Anyways next theres more images of 86 Thundercracker. He looks awesome, I love those colors they look so nice! The monoskirt is disappointing but it's not a dealbreaker when he has a waist swivel. But the backpack looks ugly. Besides that he looks great.

And anyone saying the upgrade kit is better, no it's not actually. The upgrade kit and knockoff ones are just as bad because again, they don't work with the alt mode. 86 Optimus doesn't work as a Skybound Optimus, not because of it's proportions but because of how it transforms.

So Skybound Optimus looks like trash. Which is a shame cause it was repainted from the fantastic 86 mold. But I just can't justify paying $80 for this when it doesn't even come with the axe or a normal arm. Plus the alt mode looks like trash with the Megatron arm.

So retro Wheelie and Outback were revealed a couple days ago. To be honest They look good, I'm just surprised that Wheelie of all characters gets ANOTHER new mold, and it's a deluxe. What next? A fucking voyager Wheelie?

Overall 86 Soundwave looks like a major improvement over the Earthrise and Siege versions. I will be getting this figure at some point, cause he honestly looks amazing.

As for the Cassettes, Ravage looks much better than the Siege and Earthrise versions, however the cassette mode is super compromised. Laserbeak and Buzzsaw look really good except for those super short legs and those compromised cassette modes.

The alternate mode is also very good, I love how the guns actually become batteries again like on the OG. I only have two issues with this figure though. For one his fingers needed more articulation so he could use his hand to push his button, and there should be more paint in his alt mode too.

So 86 Soundwave was revealed a couple days ago, so I guess it's time to talk about him. At first I thought he looked awful, but that was because the stock photos were just bad. After looking at some better pics he looks really good.

So the fanvote Shockwave concept art was just revealed and it looks pretty good. This is gonna fit really well with figures in the old Chug aesthetic, and it's fitting since Shockwave killed a whale in the Skybound comics.

Here's a hot take, Transformers do not need to focus on hyper accuracy and hyper articulation to be good. Articulation is great and I have no issue with the amount we have today. But it doesn't need to be a huge priority. The team should focus on giving the figures good vehicle and robot modes.

This is one of the best molds Transformers has ever had.
