I found a picture of mine! It’s my English teacher cardigan, because everyone who sees me wear it says I look like an English teacher (I have at times been an English teacher)
Seems unlikely that I have the same one, to be honest
It looks comfy as hell
Hey I think I have that cardigan
Through Him (stas) are all things made possible
Now if you want to complain I can bring out the Stasis Lock deck, but I think we all want to have fun here.
I’m sorry you lost but if you didn’t do anything about a thousand year storm I played on turn 7 for an entire turn cycle, that’s on you, and has nothing to do with me.
Desperately trying to explain to a pool of casual commander players that a four card infinite combo that’s telegraphed a turn in advance and is vulnerable to counter spells isn’t me playing “CEDH” it’s call “having a win condition” and they should try doing it.
I just don’t think God meant for people to do that (eat at Chili’s) to their bodies.
I’ve only been to a Chili’s once, and I would describe their entire menu as transphobic, because I, a trans, hated it
Book is The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire by Dr. Chris Kempshall, and it’s going to be all I talk about for the next week.
I’ve never seen a book so clearly written for me specifically.
The target audience for “in universe historical and political text about the history of the Galactic Empire that’s intentionally inspired by The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” has an audience of… me, basically.
The book I’m reading is a diegetic history book that invented its own system of citations and charts the complex political history of a sci fi empire (The Empire, Star Wars).
To say I think it fucks would be to put it mildly.
…are the missing evangelicals in the room with us now?
Also, there’s a whole word of comics that follow it and they’re all better than anything that could come out of this
I want to be excited but I just… can’t? I loved that show but I think it’s mostly nostalgia at this point.
Also, like, fuck Joss Whedon, I don’t want him to keep making shit
I graduated from the same high school as Francis Fukuyama
That’s the neat part — we can’t. He lied to his voters to get into office, and Pennsylvania doesn’t have any mechanism to recall or impeach him.
Trust me, most of us would love to get rid of him.
Here’s a story about the Bhutanese men who have been detained.
www.pennlive.com/news/2025/03...
Harrisburg, PA has had at least a few people snatched and deported, and there’s an ongoing lawsuit concerning a group of Bhutanese residents who have been arrested. We’ve also seen student attendance drop, particularly among the children of immigrants (I’m a teacher, so it’s first hand).
If you haven’t seen it, I also recommend @spice8rack.bsky.social’s phenomenal video “Magic: the Gathering and the Death of the Future” about this in Magic specifically. It came out a year ago and keeps being more and more accurate.
I’M SO EXCITED TO HEAR PEOPLE ARE PLAYING BIRDS!!!
GO FORTH AND BE TRAUMATIZED MY BEAUTIFUL ANGELS
BIRDS! BIRDS! BIRDS! BIRDS!
SOLA THANE MY BELOVED
I think it’s important (or I hope, for my sake) to remember that hate is, in fact a, valid emotion, and also one that can be spiritual. You can hate the people that hurt you. It’s when you dehumanize them that it becomes a problem.
Truly my only complaint about that book is that it’s the only one we got about the Beta-Garmon Muster, which gets hyped up so much to only get one (very good) book about it
If memory serves there’s also some interesting stuff about a male princeps viewing his daughter and her mother as “his” property, and their rejection of that. They have different perspectives on the nature of the relationship (or if it actually exists)
Never mind then! I just have a set that looks basically the same
I have those exact same dice I think! Were they from Kraken?
Really the only reason I’d want Shapiro to run would be so I didn’t have him as my governor any more.
Of course then he’d potentially be a president which would be worse.
And at a certain point, I dunno if I care. Like I’m not going to worry if it was a choice or a part of someone’s personality that allowed them to murder kids at school.
