Left looks better. I think the smaller squares are a little more forgiving to the eye when it’s a little rough

It’s been a busy few weeks but I found time to work on these guys. The first five infiltrators are ready for their sealing coat. A few of these monopose guys have character levels of detail. My favorite is the smoke grenade one!

My first set of infiltrators primed and airbrushed with the fang and Russ grey. I held then together with uhutac then broke it out into subassemblies. These monoposes have some really tight spaces! Vallejo black primer is great!

Had a little bug this week so didn’t get as much done as I wanted but the Lt is just about done. Gonna hold off on transfers and final flat coat for when I have more to do at once. I did get all the troops off the sprue :)

Getting started in the 9th ed Space Marines combat patrol! First up is the Lt in Phobos Armor. All of the troops are monopose so I got a comms backpack for one of them. I am contemplating options for the impulsor.

Finished up the 9th ee recruit box Space Marines with a bonus Space Marines Heroes assault intercessor :) there were a few weird spots where it looks like not enough plastic was injected but after painting they’re bad.

Panel 4: The blue swordsman shifts his cloak to draw his sword, which glints in the sunlight with a "shiiiiing". It is revealed that on his chest is written "PERFECT". He responds: "No. We couldn't have."

TBF to slapchop I’ve never tried it. I think JUST speed painting looks OK. The contrast + videos from warhipster use contrasts as a base and clean it up with more traditional methods afterwards and they look really good. I’ve used his fur technique and it came out really good looking.

I don’t think it’s as much as it sounds like XD.

I can do a few characters or a five man unit in a weekish time frame. I used to play Warmachine and vehicles are a little more complex than warjacks but a week or so for a vehicle should be doable.

Oh man, I also have the SW army set left to finish lol. I just did the head takers from it ;-p

Haha! I like to think of it as a pile of potential XD

I just don’t want that pile to get too big… Once I crank out a little more of it my rule is gonna be I gotta finish something cohesive (a unit, a character, etc) from the pile before I can buy anything else.

I plan to get the new Space wolves one but I want to crank through some of my backlog before I buy anything else. I have the 9th ed SW patrol, the SM boarding patrol, strike force agustus, 9th ed command, the SM patrol from 9th, a few things from leviathan, and objectives.

As I’m finishing up the 9th ed recruit box I’m trying to figure out what comes next.

Still working on getting all the base colors blocked out. I’m not a huge fan of push fits in general but I do like these poses. I can really feel the momentum they are trying to convey for the ones rushing forward.

I could also go left field and do a termagant or some storm cast eternals.

Work continues on the dreadnought. All the main colors are blocked out and the shading/highlighting has begun.

Trying to figure out what is next. Assault intercessors, infernus marines, LT, sternguard vets, or more SW army box.
