I’m still doing my fundraiser. I’m grateful for community. I managed to pay one month of rent and I’m still working on the other two months, so I don’t have to do this all over again on March 1st.

I finished my book and I sent it out on its next step. Let’s see what happens.
Apparently, there was an issue with the link to my gofundme, so here is a new one because I’m still at it.
My birthday is the 15th and I decided that I’m not letting an eviction notice get me down. My son is taking me to a free event and then we’re eating pancakes.

My poem “Caution: Mexican Poppy,” & art are in this anthology. “Together We Rise: Voices from the Frontlines of Freedom” edited by Cherice Cameron, Peter Lechuga and Erica Castro, published by local L.Á. press Daxson Publishing. All proceeds go to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA).

I’m hoping none of that happens, but it is a possibility people will give up. But there are also new things in motion, like gang unities in opposition to the administration. That will be violent, but it is proof that unity is possible. We are nearly too deep to fall back to sleep.
Let’s work harder on protecting our youth and creating a better system, because Child Protective Services doesn’t actually do it’s job.
We still need to leak the files, but what would be even better is putting real protective measures in place for children.
2 more poems reflecting on my dad.
Getting past these while dealing with my housing situation has been hard, but I’m not going to let it stop me. Interestingly enough, discussions of homelessness comes up a lot because he was the one who really respected and encouraged my desire to be altruistic.
My 49th birthday is this month. I do volunteer work for the IE to LA. I help homeless LGBTQ2S+, foster, disabled, refugee, & incarcerated youth. My radio show is volunteer work. This last year was slow due to spinal injury. I am in need of help. Please read my journey .

The book I had to write is finally becoming the book I want to write.
Interview with Cathy Linh Che is now on Substack!
I have really been contemplating on Cathy Linh Che’s discussion about how we are all our own gate. Which made me think, if we are the gate, then are we also our own gate keepers? What are your thoughts?

Why is a nonfiction author teaching fiction workshops? Because, I discovered that beneath imagination is the chance to be the most honest.
Fiction gives you freedom to create fictional worlds around your most honest truth.

Flower bag explosion! Guess who was right under me—as usual. At least he was entertained. But that’s what makes him Dandy Dandelion:
There’s no deny’n
He’s Dandy
The Dandelion
Trust that he has a song and that’s only a verse. They all have songs.
