As for being inadequate to stop the harmful behavior, the leadership will no longer have any authority to hide behind and make excuses for enslaving people. And with much of their money taken out of the leadership's hands, they can't prop up nearly as much fascism. Not "stop", yes, but decrease.

What exactly would you have Leo do, then? He's pulled the worst, though not nearly all, of the toxic leadership's fangs. Do you think he'll dust off his hands, say "job well done" and ignore the remaining problems? He's an absolute monarch, but even they have limits to what they can do all at once.

Every progressive Catholic who follows Church politics I know says that this is HUGE. This is a very, very big deal. That *directly* attacking the OD leadership could have had extremely bad repercussions for the Catholic Church. Love it or hate it, you can't expect Leo to want to damage his Church.

Leo is removing direct control over the lay members from the objectively evil current leadership, as well as cutting off that leadership from controlling a very large amount of money. All without giving OD an overt cause to schism & take well-meaning laity. He's hamstrung them. This is bad?

They actually help the long term effectiveness, surprisingly enough. Your body isn't being distracted by all the mast cell unpleasantness and can concentrate on the immune response. Or something like that. It's been studied, anyway, and they say taking antihistamines may help and won't hurt.

You know about taking antihistamines to reduce COVID vaccine side effects, yes? 20 mg Claritin or Zyrec every 12 hours until you stop feeling like shit. The spike protein that's in the vaccine (and in COVID itself, of course) makes mast cells go nuts.

I'm so excited to find out we'll have a land concert and food festival in Loreto! When we did this before, the food was SO good, and the citizens of Loreto basically threw us a fiesta with their own entertainment, too. One of the reasons Loreto is my Favorite Joco Destination Ever.

It IS a good place for ice cream. Last time the JoCo Cruise visited Loreto we ran them completely out of everything but pistacio and sugar free vanilla. And it wasn't the end of the day yet, so they may well have run out of those!

I really like Loreto because it's a real town, not Tourist Central.

The city of Des Plaines IL (and the Des Plaines River) is also deceptive. It's "dez playnz", not "de plahn". But Illinois is pronounced "Ell-en-OY" (or "Ill-en-OY; the first vowel is ambiguous), at least in the north half of the state.

Mississippi & some other states I can't remember off the top of my head have passed laws that require age verification. If memory serves, the MS law is a fine of 10,000 per post by a non-age-verified MS user. Or possibly per site access? If Bsky doesn't age-verify MS posters they're bankrupt in days

He called 911 from the ignition area. He talked about "literally" burning a Bible (but not where/when). Passengers said he was angry.
