George Russell just told us in the pen that McLaren is so fast they can afford to switch focus to 2026 now with an advantage like this. Says the order and margins are as expected. Reckons itโ€™s โ€œall tyresโ€ and they are doing โ€œsomething pretty specialโ€ - look at final sector margin.

Early trackside impressions not to be read into too much beyond building an initial reference point for the week. I liked how the Red Bull looked, strong front end, especially being on a harder compound. Hamilton experimenting a little in the Ferrari, which looked good but not quite as consistent.

Shakedown images only add to Red Bull 2025 F1 car mystery Red Bull kept the most anticipated Formula 1 car of 2025 secret until the very last moment and the more images have been revealed, the more confusing it has got

The new Red Bull looks just like the old Red Bull. And not in a normal 'evolution not revolution' kind of way. "It looks very similar," the team admits. But will that be the case by Australia - or even the end of the week?
