I get the point you're making and I agree with the overall sentiment of your argument. But as a pedant, I'd say it's more nuanced than that and it'd be more accurate to state that Puerto Rico is 'owned' by the US rather than being "part" of the US due to the complexity of its territorial status.

Well, the Oban/ Mallaig train eventually left Glasgow, albeit slightly later than scheduled. I hate to think of all the filthy fumes that I've breathed in whilst we were waiting.

Glasgow Queen Street railway station has been at least partially evacuated. Loads of smoke/ fumes have come off the Oban/ Mallaig train, which I'm currently sat on 🙄. Two carriages have deemed out of order.

If "Scottish" Labour had any leverage at all,

Grangemouth would be safe,

The super-computer would be in Edinburgh,

The WASPI women would be compensated,

The two-child cap would be gone,

Pensioners would not freeze over winter.

I don't think you could pay me to attend the World Cup this year. It would feel wrong and immoral.

It is right. A lot of international companies have their European HQs based in Ireland to take advantage of their lower corporation tax rates. This significantly inflates Ireland's GDP per capita.

I'm not particularly a big fan of the Scottish Greens but I'll be tactically giving them my list vote as I don't want Deform, LibDems, Tory and Labour benefiting from the Regional List.

Obviously I'll check the opinion polls nearer the election but at present, the SNP aren't expected to pick up MSPs from the list. I'm going to vote in the regional list to maximise indy MSPs and reduce the amount of Yoon MSPs . Besides, 2 Greens in the list is arguably better than 1 SNP in the list.
