To clarify a little bit, I applied to transfer for my job, we have operations in Chicago. But they denied it. So while there is opportunity with my job to relocate, they still said no. Which I understand, I guess, if there's no available positions in that region at the moment. But it still sucks!
I had the chance to move to Chicago recently but my job wouldn't let me and that made me really mad.
I would've quit and gone anyway if I didn't need the income.
Needless to say I'm very sad right now and I'll be looking for new employment opportunities in the year to come. Preferably a WFH gig.
